Influential Industry Players will Speak at COTTM Outbound Investment Forum, 17th Oct, Beijing

According to the latest data from the China Ministry of Commerce, from January to July 2024, non-financial direct investment by Chinese enterprises in jointly building the “One Belt, One Road” reached 17.94 billion US dollars, up 7.7% year-on-year. This indicates that Chinese investment in “One Belt, One Road” countries have maintained a steady growth trend.

On 4 – 6th September, the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is going to be held in Beijing. Data from the Ministry of Commerce also indicates that China has remained Africa’s largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years. By the end of 2023, China’s stock of direct investment in Africa had surpassed 40 billion US dollars. China has emerged as a force for certainty and stability in the recovery of the world economy and the development of international trade and investment, creating more opportunities for the world through its own development. This also implies that in the future, Chinese enterprises will embrace more opportunities to go global.

COTTM will further implement the China national strategy of jointly building the “One Belt, One Road”, by organising the “Outbound Tourism Investment and Development Forum” at the “COTTM Conference” on the afternoon of 17th October. The “COTTM Investment Forum” is dedicated to providing a business matching platform for Chinese outbound hotel brands and tourism investors who are investing in overseas destinations, as well as for overseas project parties. It aims to export mature tourism industry solutions, advanced technologies, and equipment manufacturing from China to overseas destinations, assisting in the development and enhancement of travel products and services, and to promote Chinese enterprises by expanding upstream resources in the outbound travel industry.
